ABOUT

Ever since I was young, I knew I wanted to get into a career path that would make a difference in people’s lives. This interest led me to study social sciences and eventually pursue a career in mental health. As a licensed marriage and family therapist, I strive to assist individuals and families overcome challenges by strengthening skills and strengths they already have and teaching new ways to cope with life’s difficulties.

I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology with a minor in Chicana/o Studies from UC Davis, a Masters in Counseling with a focus in Marriage and Family Therapy from Cal State Los Angeles, and currently working on a PsyD in Clinical Psychology from California Southern University. Additionally, I hold certifications and trainings in multiple Evidence Based Programs (EBP), including Managing and Adaptive Practices (MAP), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy (TF-CBT), Make Parenting A Pleasure (MPAP), and Seeking Safety (SS). I have extensive experience working with trauma, depression, anxiety, obsessive thinking, self-esteem issues, anger management, oppositional defiance, and many more. Moreover, I have experience doing dyadic work with children 0-5, parenting support, and extensive work with children and adolescents using both play and talk therapy.

I truly care for all of my clients, and work diligently to help them overcome or manage their challenges and stressors. Since 2013, I have worked with a variety of clients dealing with circumstances that are unique to their lives. I hope to collaborate with you and help you discover strengths and skills to be able to live a more fulfilling life!
